Configuration

If you are an administrator with the Configuration permission, you can access the Administration > Configuration page, where you can configure and customize your Phocas site.

The Configuration page contains a number of settings, organized into sections, each relating to an aspect of Phocas functionality:

  • General - The following general settings are available for your site:

    • Administrator Email Address - The email address of the Phocas administrator for your site. On sites without forgotten password functionality, this email address is provided so users can contact the Phocas administrator.

    • Application URL - The web address for users to connect to your site. When a user is first added to Phocas, they will receive this URL in an email. This setting might say External URL in some older versions of Phocas.

    • Default language - The language that is used by default throughout your site. If this setting is left blank, the user's location or their own language setting applies. The default language determines the default date format used througout your site.

  • Dashboards > Enable/disable the Text Widgets - Enable HTML Content (potentially unsafe) setting (it is disabled by default).  If you enable this setting, you allow users to add potentially unsafe HTML content to a dashboard via a text widget. Enabling this setting might make your site vulnerable.

  • Geocoding > Google Maps Geocoding API Key - Enter the API key that is applicable to map charts.

  • Health Check - Enable/disable the Health Check report (it is enabled by default).

  • Single sign-on (SSO) - Enable single sign-on (SSO).

  • Marketing - Add a marketing panel to the sign-in screen.

  • Password policy - Set your Phocas site's password policy.

  • CRM - Link a CRM account to Phocas and/or a filterable dashboard.
