You can share a dashboard or favorite by placing it in a folder which can be accessed by other users. You will see a list of available folders when creating, sharing or cloning a dashboard or favorite, as shown below.

There are no default folders, as they are optional and usually customized for individual companies. For example, you might have folders for different functional areas of the business. A 'Branch' folder would contain various dashboards and/or favorites about that branch's performance and all users who work in that branch would be granted access to the folder.

Details about folders appear next to dashboards and favorites on the default homepage and on your favorite/dashboard lists.

  • Personal next to a dashboard or favorite indicates that you are the owner of that item and it is not in any folders. 'Personal' will appear next to any of your items that you have shared (i.e., they will not appear as 'shared' in your list).

  • Shared indicates that another another user has shared a dashboard or favorite with you.
In the image below, the first two dashboards are personal and the third has been shared with the user (with 'New' indicating is has been recently shared).

Administrators can create, manage and set user access to folders. For information see Administration guide.
