Phocas tracks the history of changes to database designs by automatically creating a new version of the design each time

either a design

it is saved or when the database is built. You can revert to a previous version if you need to.

 To view the design history 

  • Go to the design
  • select the version tab 
shows their last build date and status.

View previous versions

In Designer, click the Versions tab. The Versions tab lists all previous designs. On the left you can see the last build date and the time the version was saved, and on the right, you can see the status of the build.

Revert to a previous version

Choose Revert beside

On the Versions tab, click the Revert button of the version you want to

revert

Confirm. This opens at design tab for the reverted version

 

 

 

restore, then click Confirm.

The restored design opens, ready to be modified or saved. The restored design will become available in Phocas after it has been built, either manually or on a schedule.

View the change log

Each version of a database design generates a change log that contains details of the changes that were made.

Click Show changes to display the change log.
