During a Phocas upgrade, you may be prompted for credentials at the 'Database (Install)' stage. This is where you are setting up how the installer will connect to the SQL Server on which the Phocas databases are located, in order to perform the upgrade.

This page explains how to locate the username and password required for this step.

 

1. Open IIS. To do this, ether go to Control panel > Programs and choose Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager, or search for IIS on your computer.

2. Locate and select 'Phocas' from the list of sites in the left hand panel.

3. Double Click on click Connection Strings, as shown above. Double Click on PhocasMaster, as shown belowLocate 'PhocasMaster' (shown below) and double click to open.

Locate the 4. The Phocas website username and password for your installation will appear as part of the string in the connection strings box (an example is highlighted in the image below). These credentials are case sensitive.
