If you have the Manage Favorites user permission, you can delete the favorites you saved (you are the owner), and delete (remove) any favorites that were shared with you. Administrators can delete all favorites. Deleting a favorite takes effect in two ways:

  • If you delete a favorite you created, the favorite is deleted from any users you shared it with and any folders you placed it in.

  • If you delete a favorite that was shared with you, the favorite is removed from your list of favorites and your default homepage, so you can no longer access it. It is not deleted for the favorite owner nor removed from anyone else's view. If the favorite was shared with you via a folder, you cannot delete that favorite.

To delete a favorite, on your homepage, locate the favorite, click the menu button (on the far right side), then click Delete and click Delete to confirm.

If you have the Administration > Favorites user permission, you can delete all favorites in your organization’s Phocas site
Note

On 9 April 2024, we updated the homepage and removed the other homepage layout options. This update removed the delete option. In a future release, we will reinstate the delete option, accessible via the menu button (three dots) at the end of the item row. However, the functionality will be different. You will only be able to delete the items you created or own. You can no longer delete (remove from your view) items that were shared with you.

In the meantime:

  • You can use the grid filters on the homepage to remove such items from your view.

  • Administrators can delete the favorites in your organization’s Phocas site via the Administration> Favorites page.
