Example - Create a bar chart

In the Sales database, you want to create a bar chart to compare the performance of the top five Sales Reps for the current financial year to date with the previous year.

    1. Prepare the data in the grid:

      1. Select the Sales Rep dimension, then select and focus on the top five Sales Reps.

      2. Select Mode > Variance.

      3. Select Period > Financial TYD (year to date).

    2. Click the Chart (blue star) button. The bar chart type displays by default. You can now compare the sales for each of the five Sales Reps this year to date (blue bars) with that of last year (red bars).
