When you open a financial database, the first statement you see and the way it looks is determined by the ‘standard view’ that is set up by the person in your organization who has permission to manage financial statements. That view is based on a default period (timeframe) that is applied to the underlying financial database. You can change this default period so that a particular date range applies to the financial statements each time you open them.

  1. On your Phocas homepage, click the Databases tab and locate the database.

  2. Click the menu button for that database (on the far right side), then click Set Default Period.

  3. Select the required period and click Save.

See Periods and Default period for a database and for more information.

You can also change the period temporarily when you are viewing a statement.
