You can map categories and dimensions from your ERP Chart of Accounts. The process requires the use of the Designer tool in the Administration module, for which you need both the Administration > Databases and Sync user permissions.

  1. Open the database design in Designer.

  2. Add your Chart of Accounts file.

  3. Map the accounts to the Dimension section. New categories are created for you. These will become available as top-level dimensions in your financial statements.

  4. Rename the new categories to something more meaningful.

  5. Save your changes and build the database.

  6. In Financial Statements, create a custom statement based on one of the new top-level dimensions (categories).
