You can view your data in a chart or graph to see trends at a glance. Charts are particularly useful when the grid has a lot of columns and you are only interested in one row or a few rows - rather than scrolling across multiple columns, you can visualize the row(s) instead. You can switch between different types of charts and configure how the data displays in each one. You can save the chart as a favorite or add it to a dashboard for quick access next time.
Switch to chart view
You can switch from the default grid view to the chart view any any stage in your analysis.
Click the Chart button in the top right corner above the grid. You can then select a different type of chart and configure the chart to meet your needs.
Select a chart type
When you switch to chart view, a default chart displays, with chart category buttons on the left. Click a category button to view the chart type options, then click the chart you want to view.
The type of charts that are available during your analysis depend on:
The type of data you are viewing.
Whether you are in Summary view or have selected a dimension.
The mode you have selected.
The following table lists all the charts, organized by category, along with brief information on when they are available. Click the links to view more detailed information and examples for each type of chart.
By default, only the first 25 rows of a grid are included in the chart. If you have a requirement for additional rows to be displayed, your Phocas consultant can assist with this. You can also display a sum instead of individual values (see Chart options).
