You can focus on specific rows (accounts and/or groups) in a financial statement. When you focus on the rows, you move into the Analytics grid, where the data displayed is limited to those selected rows. You can then take advantage of the standard Analytics features to drill down and analyze the details.

To access the Select (blue star) button, hover over the left side of a row. When a row is selected, it turns blue.

  1. Select the row(s):

    • To select one row, click its Select (blue star) button.

    • To select multiple consecutive rows, expand the rows, then either:

      • Click and hold the Select (blue star) button of the first row, then drag your mouse down over the other rows you want to include in your selection.

      • Click the Select (blue star) button of the first row, then hold down the Shift key and click the Select (blue star) button of the last row you want to include in your selection.

    • To select a range of non-consecutive rows, expand the rows, then click the Select (blue star) button of the first row, hold down the Ctrl key and click the Select (blue star) button of the other rows(s) you want to include in your selection.

  2. Click the Focus button to move into the Analytics grid.

You deselect rows in the same way as above. Alternatively, you can click the Reset button but that action will also reset other settings that you have applied to the grid.
