A stream is a data series from a database, e.g., 'Sales' or 'Budget' in a Sales database. You can view a single data stream using the Stream button, or compare streams in Stream modeStreams may be different in different databases.

View a single data stream

  1. Select the Streams button (the button will display the name of the default stream). You can do this from analysis viewsummary view or the edit/create a widget screen.
  2. Choose a stream from the list (the default stream will appear at the top). Only one stream can be chosen at a time, so if you want to compare streams you will need to use Stream mode.

More about streams

  • Streams do not respond to the Reset button. If you have selected a stream, you will need to manually change it back.
  • If only one stream has been defined, then neither the Streams button nor Stream mode will appear.
  • If a 'No results' message is displayed when selecting a stream, this may be simply because the data does not exist. e.g. budgets may not exist for individual customers, or there may be no orders in the system for a particular branch.
