Right-clicking (or a long-tap on a device) in a cell in most modes presents a shortcut that allows you to perform a quick search of columns in the grid, based on data in that cell.

Example of using right-click filter

Here we want to display our customers with sales that approached $20,000, and higher, in July 2014.

  • Have your dimension/s selected and period, measures, etc, set.
  • It is useful to sort the month column first.
  • Identify the cell you want to use as a starting point (in this example it is $18,708.07). Here we right-click and select Greater than > 18,708.07, as shown below.

The grid will update, filtered by July 2014 and the amount selected, showing at a glance only those customers whose sales for July 2014 were close to the $20,000 mark or higher.

The search rule will appear in the status bar.
