How the grid appears in this mode
The grid displays a column for all active properties in the current dimension, plus a column for current period and previous period. Variance and percentage columns are also displayed.Example
In this example we want to compare sales with budget orders for the last 3 months , for a selection of customers.
- From the 'Sales' database select 'Ship to' dimension and select customer (in this example, we have selected 10 customers. Focus.
- Select Period > Last 3 months.
- Select Mode > Period stream, as shown below. An additional button will now appear to the right of the standard Sales standard 'sales' stream button. Select Budget from this button.In this example the additional stream 'orders' has been selected.
As shown below, the grid will
update, as shown below, and you can compare sales with budget for each of the 3 months, as well as the totals.
display results for sales and orders, both as total and for each month. Variance is also displayed, as an amount and as a percentage.
