This page explains the two types of users in the Financial Statements module and how to access the Financial Statements module.

Learn about the types of users

There are two categories of users in Financial Statements:

  • Users who view and analyze the Financial Statements, and ultimately use the information to make business decisions. This user is sometimes referred to as a ‘consumer’.

  • Users who have permission to manage the financial statements in your organization, which includes customizing the layout and contents of the statements. This user is sometimes referred to as a ‘producer’.

In addition to the above users, your Phocas Administrator controls the general user permissions.

You will know what kind of user you are when you click the Actions (star) button in the upper right corner of your screen - if you see the Statements option, you have permission to manage and customize the financial statements.
