When you access the Financial Statements module, the first statement you see and the way it looks is determined by the ‘standard view’ that is set up by the person in your organization who has permission to manage financial statements.

You can change this view to meet your own needs, by setting a default view. Then, whenever you access the Financial Statements module, you see the statement you need straight away, in your preferred view. For example, you might always want to start with a monthly view of your Profit and Loss or perhaps jump straight to the Balance Sheet.

Default views are created from favorites. When you go to set your default view, you will see a list of the favorites you have saved, along with any that have been shared with you.

  1. Ensure you have saved the view as a favorite.

  2. Click the Actions menu button (blue star) > Set Default View.

  3. Select the favorite you want to set as your default, then click Save.

If your needs change in the future, you can change your default view by repeating the above steps.

To remove a default view, click the Actions menu button (blue star) > Set Default View, select the Use Standard View option and click Save.
