A column chart displays a number of variables together, similar to a bar chart. Column charts are good for simple comparisons, e.g., to display the top 10 product sales, or monthly output.
Once you select a dimension, you see a column for each focused item in the dimension. In summary view there will be a column each for current and previous period or stream.
To use
Set up your analysis as required in the grid. Then choose Chart and select Column .

A column chart is very similar to a Bar chart, however, it displays the bars vertically rather than horizontally. Just like Bar charts, Column charts are good for displaying simple comparisons.
Prepare the data in the grid, click the Chart 
button, then click the Bar chart category button and select the Column option.
