Select multiple rows 

You can select multiple rows or cells, calculations (Sum, Count and Average) are automatically performed for you and the results are displayed at the bottom of the grid.

  • Click on individual row numbers, in any order,

  • click and drag your mouse across multiple rows, or

  • click a row number, hold down the shift key, and then click another row number. Both rows, and all rows in between will be selected, and will turn blue.

To deselect multiple rows click on a row number or click and drag your mouse across multiple rows, starting on a blue row. You can Reset to deselect everything. Note this will also reset other settings that you have applied to the grid.  

It is now much easier to analyze multiple accounts from different categories while in a Financial Statement. Select the account rows, then click the Focus button to move into the Analytics grid, where you can You can focus on specific rows (accounts and/or groups) in a financial statement. When you focus on the rows, you move into the Analytics grid, where the data displayed is limited to those selected rows. You can then take advantage of the standard Analytics features to drill down and analyze the details.

This feature also works across all types of financial statements and when you are in matrix mode.

You can now select multiple rows or cells in a financial statement. Click the first row/cell, then either:

Drag your mouse over the rows/cells

To access the Select (blue star) button, hover over the left side of a row. When a row is selected, it turns blue. 

  1. Select the row(s):

    • To select one row, click its Select (blue star) button.

    • To select multiple consecutive rows, expand the rows, then either:

      • Click and hold the Select (blue star) button of the first row, then drag your mouse down over the other rows you want to include in

the
      • your selection.

Press and hold
      • Click the Select (blue star) button of the first row, then hold down the Shift key

      • and click the Select (blue star) button of the last row

      • you want to include in

This enhancement allows you quickly copy a selection of data from the financial statement and paste it into another place, such as a Microsoft Excel worksheet, removing the next to export the whole statement.

This enhancement also allows you to analyze selections of data at a glance. Calculations based on the selected items are automatically performed for you, the results of which display at the bottom of the grid.

      • To select a range of non-consecutive rows, expand the rows, then click the Select (blue star) button of the first row, hold down the Ctrl key and click the Select (blue star) button of the other rows(s) you want to include in your selection.

    1. Click the Focus button to move into the Analytics grid.

    You deselect rows in the same way as above. Alternatively, you can click the Reset button but that action will also reset other settings that you have applied to the grid.
